ROCKINGHAM — FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital–Richmond has recognized Philip Mondi, M.D. and nurse practitioner Michelle Trexler for their outstanding efforts to care for patients.
Mondi, a hospitalist at FirstHealth’s MRH–Richmond campus, is the 2022 Physician of the Year, while Michelle Trexler was named the Advanced Practice Provider of the Year.
Christy Land, MSN, R.N., president of the Southern region and administrator of Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond, said Mondi and Trexler are always attentive to the needs of their patients, carefully listen to patients and their families and take time to educate to help them learn about their medical care.
“We are blessed to have an A-plus care team here in Richmond County, and Dr. Mondi and Michelle are truly among our best,” Land said. “They are role models for compassionate care and demonstrate every day their passion to care for our community. They solve problems, help patients and their family members, and ensure that everyone is invested in a high-quality care environment.”
